The seatrout have entered the little creek on Ner-Laksfors in order to do the yearly routine of securing the offspring for the next generation.
Here in November, they are arriving to the creeks, running into the mighty Vefsna with only one thing on their mind: SPAWNING!
I have watched them through the years, coming into our creek here from the bigger river, and slowly moving patiently up the creek, regardless of me following them through narrow passages, parts with very low water, tunnels and hindrances by twigs, stems and branches. This is going on over several months from September and onwards, but seems to top when we have periods of high-water due to rainfalls – and this autumn was very, very wet (see the chart):

It is one of my dreams to watch them spawn - even to make a video of their spawning, but I haven't seen them grouping up yet to do the job; but this will surely happen soon, and probably before the ice is calming everything down.
And contrary to the salmon both male and female will go back to the fjord afterwards - but they and I will return when summer comes...
